THE STORY: OPERATION MOUNTAIN FIRE

On 12 July 2009, US and Afghan soldiers attacked the remote mountain village of Barg-i-Matal to oust a Taliban stronghold. What was supposed to be a four-day operation lasted two and half months and cost three American lives.

The film is set on the day of the attack, in the aftermath of a fictional reconnaissance patrol that goes wrong.
